About Citizens' Defense Academy
Citizens' Defense Academy (CDA), with locations in Gallia County, OH, and Tioga County, PA, was established to offer comprehensive training and education in Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, and various Personal Protection topics. Our focus is on equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to handle everyday challenges, from minor injuries to violent encounters and natural disasters.
We provide training in firearms safety and marksmanship for both novice and experienced shooters, alongside advanced defensive shooting techniques and instruction on less-lethal options.
Additionally, CDA offers both basic and advanced courses for private security professionals, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Our curriculum includes specialized training such as Active Shooter response and Church Security Team preparation.
Our classes are regularly updated and tailored to address current local and global threats, ensuring that you receive the most relevant and effective training available.
Who We Are
At Citizens’ Defense Academy, our Instructor Cadre consists of certified professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds, including Red Cross First-Aid, Munio Self-Defense, NRA, USCCA, Law Enforcement, and Military Firearms Instruction. Our team also includes specialists contracted to teach for renowned organizations such as Legal Heat, Protect His House (PHH), and the Emergency Response Training & Certification Agency (ERTCA) affiliated with the MSU Police Academy.
Our instructors are dedicated to continuous training, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and concepts. By combining their extensive experience with modern methodologies, they deliver top-notch instruction in every class.
In addition to our core instructors, we offer specialty courses led by Independent Instructors who are Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in various fields, including technology, analysis, and survival. Our martial arts instructors bring expertise in Karate, Aikido, Jujitsu, Krav Maga, and more, providing you with the most relevant and effective training available.
